What is Project LUME?

To you, who want to make a difference through empathy for a young student who wishes to take a step towards a dignified future, we present here a project that will help the future of young people in situations of social vulnerability .

This is an ongoing initiative by ITT aimed at elementary and high school students enrolled in public schools and participating in ITT's Information Technology (IT) training program.

How does the project help?

The project foresees three main areas of action:
• Scholarship: Monthly financial aid of 240 reais, donated by the sponsor, intended to cover basic needs that may impact the student's academic performance.
• Tutoring and Mentoring: Bi-weekly sessions conducted by volunteer mentors, focusing on educational and professional guidance, helping students chart paths and set goals for their future.
• Psycho-emotional Support: When necessary, weekly psychotherapeutic sessions with volunteer professionals, focused on emotional support, strengthening self-esteem, and developing the student's mental health.

Who is the young person to be sponsored?

  • Aged 14 to 17, from public schools.

  • Interest in technology and a desire to delve deeper into the field of computer science.

  • Minimum availability to dedicate 5 hours per week to ITT IT training.

  • Maximum family income of 3 net minimum wages.
